Kobus is a qualified professional engineer with more than 17 years’ experience in the fields of water supply and sanitation engineering.
He specialises in the feasibility assessment and economic optimisation of bulk transfer schemes and has extensive experience in condition assessment and the pro-active management of bulk pipeline systems to extend the service life of critical ageing infrastructure and reduce water loss. He has further mastered the field of hydro-dynamic (surge) analysis and performs complex analysis, detailed hydraulic design, pump and valve selection and specification, functional process design and the definition of operating philosophies as part of the detail design of bulk transfer systems. Kobus has a keen interest in field validations to confirm the hydraulic performance of pipeline systems and validate designs.

Pr Eng BEng (Civil) MEng (Water Resources Engineering) NACE CP Level 3
Ross is a civil engineer with more than nine years’ experience and specialises in the water engineering field, with a focus on bulk water supply pipelines, pump stations and hydropower. He has worked on bulk water supply and hydropower projects in Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Rwanda and Uganda. He has gained valuable experience in pump station and water system analysis, design of pipelines, penstocks, valve chambers and reservoirs, construction monitoring, pipeline condition assessment and run-of-the river hydropower systems.
His professional expertise also extends to the field of Cathodic Protection where he is a certified NACE Cathodic Protection Technologist (NACE CP Level 3) and has designed and commissioned both sacrificial anode and impressed current cathodic protection systems on bulk water supply pipelines.
Ross has presented and lectured both locally and internationally on steel pipeline design, construction, condition assessment, refurbishment and cathodic protection.
